Highlights and Sessions, Papers and Program

Meeting overview (pdf file)    Preliminary Program per Day (pdf file)

ABOUT THE MEETING

The « Nuclear Renaissance » is now fully integrated within the long-term strategies of all the main electricity companies in the world and the competition between the main suppliers of Nuclear Power Plants is harder than ever. New models, new features, new fuels are proposed by suppliers to their customers, new R&D programs are launched, new regulations are implemented.

The 2007 International Congress on Advances in Nuclear Power Plants will be the opportunity for a detailed and in-depth discussion on the latest innovations covering the full spectrum of the Nuclear Power Plants issues, from design and construction to operation and maintenance, safety, structures, materials, human factors and so on. It will be in line with the previous fruitful ICAPP congresses.

The technical program will consist of invited plenary and panel sessions and focused technical sessions, organized along twelve specific areas of technical interest to enable experts in those fields to have meaningful interactions and cross fertilization of ideas.

The congress will have, as usual, full-length technical papers, which will be reviewed and published on a CD Rom available at the meeting. Papers of archival quality will be recommended for publication in special issues of Revue Générale Nucleaire.

All the authors are expected to attend and present their papers at the congress. All the sessions will be held in English, with simultaneous translation French-English, English-French for the opening session.

Organized by the French Nuclear Energy Society (SFEN)

Sponsored by the Société Française d'Energie Nucléaire (SFEN), American Nuclear Society (ANS), Korean Nuclear Society (KNS), Atomic Energy Society of Japan (AESJ), Sociedad Nuclear Española (SNE), European Nuclear Society (ENS), International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (OECD/NEA), Canadian Nuclear Society (CNS), Chinese Nuclear Society (CNS), British Nuclear Energy Society (BNES) and Belgian Nuclear Society (BNS).
