Anaheim

The City of Anaheim is one of the nation's premier municipalities and California's 10th most populous city. Centrally located in Orange County in Southern California between Los Angeles and San Diego, Anaheim is best known for its professional sports and the Anaheim Resort district. The Anaheim Resort district offers an abundance of hotels, dining, shopping and theme park fun, all linked by a modern visitor transportation system. Hundreds of picturesque palm trees line the boulevards of the resort area, which encompasses: Anaheim Convention Center, Disneyland®, Disney’s California Adventure™ and Downtown Disney District.

Within easy reach of four major airports, Orange County boasts 42 miles of breathtaking coastline, 34 unique cities, views of the nearby mountains to the east, and ideal year-round weather filled with sunny days and an average temperature of 70 degrees.

About the Meeting

Following the highly successful ICAPP ’07 meeting held in Nice France, the 2008 International Congress on Advances in Nuclear Power Plants will bring together international experts of the nuclear industry involved in the operation, development, building, regulation and research related to Nuclear Power Plants.

The program will cover the full spectrum of Nuclear Power Plant issues from design, deployment and construction of plants to research and development of future designs and advanced systems. The program is expected to cover lessons learned from power, research and demonstration reactors from over 50 years of experience with operation and maintenance, structures, materials, technical specifications, human factors, system design and reliability.

This congress will have full-length technical papers, which will be peer reviewed and published on a CDROM, available at the meeting. Papers of archival quality will be recommended for publication in special issues of the Nuclear Science & Engineering and Nuclear Technology Journals.

All authors will be expected to present their papers in English at the congress. About 20 minutes will be allotted for each paper. At least one author is required to register for the congress and present their paper.

Invited Plenary and Panel Sessions

There will be 6 special invited plenary and panel sessions covering topics of general and current interest with invited international speakers.
